Hi! My name is Natalie. I am a wife and mother of 2 rambunctious little boys with a passion for home decor, cooking, entertaining and inspiring! Everyday Elegance by Natalie is a brand that I’ve created to inspire people through home decor, design ideas, tips and cooking simple and healthy meals. Basically, all things HOME. Whether it’s financial difficulties, lack of time or lack or creativity you’re experiencing, my goal is to show you that it doesn’t take a lot of time, money or effort to love the home you’re living in!
The home is a representation of oneself and I truly believe that with just a few touches you can create an oasis for you and your family. I believe that if you simplify dinner time while still providing nutritious and delicious meals for your family, you’ll take pride in cooking for them and even enjoy having dinner parties and entertaining guests!
So, a little bit about my background…Since I was a young girl I’ve been doing “room makeovers” for friends and family. I’d cut images out of catalogues, go to fabric stores and buy samples of fabric, make mood boards out of my clippings on construction paper (in lieu of technology). I would sew curtains and pillows for friends and even paint their walls just to ensure that they’d have the room makeover they desired (you know who you are!). I’d decorate their room and have them come back for the big reveal…Yes! just like the TV shows! For one reason or another, I ended up studying Biology and working in a lab for many years. But as I look back now, I realize that decorating and design was my life’s passion.
For one reason or another, I went to school for Biology and was working in the lab for many years. I decided 3 years ago to open up my very own interior styling business and was happily styling homes on the side. Baby #2 came along and so did some big changes for our family. We decided to move from Miami to Boston and therefore, leave behind not only our family and friends, but the clientele I’d built and the dreams I’d been working on.
Flash forward 2 years and I’m currently living in Boston and am a “stay at home mom”. I’ve decided to pursue my dreams and enroll in interior design courses online. Thankfully, I’ve been able to continue to design for clients through my E-designs which has been vital to my sanity! Being able to create and design has been a lifesaver for me in so many ways amongst all the changes.
So, my hope is to inspire you all in some way! Whether through home decor or cooking, my goal is to help add a little bit of elegance to your everyday!
